1. What This Is

Nomad Forecast (nomadforecast.com) is a trip planning and community tool for nomadic families, operated by XXI-IXD LLC, Roatán, Honduras.

By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Children's data (names, birthdays) may only be entered by their parent or legal guardian as part of a family profile.
  • One account per family. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

3. Your Data, Your Control

  • All data you enter belongs to you.
  • You can edit or delete your data at any time from your profile.
  • You can delete your entire account from the account settings page. This permanently removes all your data from our system.
  • We do not claim any ownership or license over the information you provide. We only use it to operate the service for you.

4. Community Map & Sharing

Understanding how your data appears to others is important:

  • Anonymous pins (always active): When you create a trip with dates, a pin appears on the community map showing your approximate location, family size, children's ages, and nationality. No identifying information (name, contact) is shown. This helps the community see where families are traveling.
  • Public sharing (opt-in): You can choose to make trip stops public and select exactly which profile fields are visible. This is always your conscious decision.
  • Connections (mutual): When two families exchange invite codes, they can see each other's full profiles. Either family can disconnect at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't use Nomad Forecast to:

  • Provide false information or impersonate others
  • Harass, spam, or abuse other users
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Scrape data or use automated tools against the service
  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.

6. External Links & Services

Nomad Forecast connects you to external platforms (WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Instagram, etc.) via deep links. We are not responsible for these third-party services. When you click a messenger link, you leave our platform and interact with that service directly.

7. Visa Tracker & Travel Data Disclaimer

Nomad Forecast includes a Visa Tracker that provides estimates for Schengen 90/180 day limits, visa-free stay durations, tax residency thresholds, and related travel information. This information is for general reference only and must not be treated as legal, immigration, or tax advice.

  • Visa requirements, stay limits, and tax rules change frequently and may differ based on your individual circumstances (passport type, prior visa history, bilateral agreements, purpose of visit, etc.).
  • You are solely responsible for verifying all visa, immigration, and tax information with official government sources or qualified professionals before making any travel decisions.
  • We make no guarantee that the data displayed is accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • We accept no liability whatsoever for denied entry, overstay penalties, fines, deportation, tax obligations, or any other consequences arising from reliance on information shown in the app.

Our visa data is derived from the open-source Passport Index Dataset (MIT license). This dataset is community-maintained and may not reflect the latest policy changes. Always check with the embassy or consulate of your destination country.

8. Open Data

We use openly licensed data sources for maps, climate data, visa requirements, airport locations, and more. Full attribution and licenses are listed in our Privacy Policy.

9. Availability & Liability

  • Nomad Forecast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • All data shown in the app — including trip costs, visa information, climate data, and travel suggestions — is for informational purposes only.
  • We are not liable for any decisions you make based on data shown in the app, including but not limited to travel, visa, immigration, financial, or tax decisions.
  • We are not liable for interactions between users. If you connect with another family, you do so at your own discretion and risk.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, XXI-IXD LLC and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last update. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

  • You can stop using the service at any time by deleting your account.
  • We may terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these terms, with notice when possible.
